The Challenge

Despite national recognition for innovative education models as far back as the 1960s, the Philadelphia Academies’ reputation needed freshening up. 

The Idea

PAI called on Bower & Co. to restore its reputation and influence and develop a marketing communications strategy. Gail discovered PAI had a proven track record for educational effectiveness: Students in PAI programs had higher graduation rates, near zero dropout rates, and a 90% job placement rate. PAI wasn’t communicating these impressive results – its real value proposition – in meaningful ways. Bower & Co. set to work segmenting audiences, sharpening messages and updating marketing materials, including a complete identity/graphic makeover. 


By putting Bower & Co. ideas and tools to work, Philadelphia Academies came away with a new voice, a new look and a targeted communications strategy opening doors across a wide range of educational audiences.
